Early Birds 2005

North County Times (7 Aug 2005)

Encinitas ... Vera Caccioppoli’s Hi-Way Haven Literary Emporium, 466 N. Pacific Coast Hwy, Encinitas, proved to be the perfect location for North County Authors & Poets (NCAP*) to hold its 2nd Annual Book Faire. Stories were told and books were sold and a great time was had by the steady stream of literary afficionados.

Appetizers came in the form of tasty morsels of poetry and tantalizing glimpses into the smorgasbord of novels offered by the ever-growing list of participants. This year’s authors were: Faith Frances Berlin, Madge Blakey, Vera Caccioppoli, Maxine Sue Feller, Ruth Hohberg, Mona Jones-Owen, Jennifer Kise, Rosalie Ferrer Kramer, Dr. Marianne Maynard, Betty McElhatten, Mary Lenore Quigley, David J. Valley, Jan Weight & Anne Wilson.

The final course, served up by Faith Frances Berlin with her "Southern Fried Fiction," left the audience laughing and hungry for more. "I’m already looking forward to next year’s event," founder Mary Lenore Quigley says. "Four new authors signed up today." Interested authors can contact Quigley at qtwoink@sbcglobal.net or (760) 510-9587
