It's April Again!
National Poetry Month
My favorite time of the year!
This is a new venture:
posting my poetry on line.
I hope to add something new each week, and now and then a bit of information about the poetry world. Please stop by and see what magic is working inside this head of mine.
POEM IN YOUR POCKET DAY
APRIL 17th
One of the things I like to do in April is print at least one small poem on business cards, carry them with me on the 17th and pass them out to friends and strangers. You will be surprised at all the smiles you receive along with their thanks. And, who knows, you may inspire someone to try their hand at poetry.
The very first poem I shared on a business card is considered a
*Pindaric ode:
MAGIC
There's magic in starlit skies
Full moons and babies' eyes,
Children's laughter ocean waves,
Thunderstorms that misbehave.
Magic lives at rainbow's end
With hummingbird and fairy friend
In the lift of eagle's wings,
Deep within a lark that sings
And in every line of poetry
Magic flows to you from me.
